Guidance from a field scientist for field scientists - turning complex research plans into reality - no matter the environment.

MEET THE FOUNDER

I started FieldWild after years of navigating the highs and lows of environmental fieldwork - from resource-stretched jungle expeditions to high-budget aerial surveys using helicopters and drones. Along the way, I saw how even the best research ideas can unravel without solid logistics, and how thoughtful planning can make all the difference in safety, data quality, and team resilience.

FieldWild exists to make ambitious environmental fieldwork possible - safely, efficiently, and without compromising on data quality.

 Hi! I’m Chloe.

Built for the wild.

FieldWild is shaped by years of hands-on experience leading research in jungles, mountains, and politically sensitive and culturally diverse regions. This insight is built into every plan - so your team can navigate tough conditions safely, and collect the data that matters.

Science-led. Data-driven.

FieldWild brings the perspective of a field scientist to every mission - combining logistics with scientific rigour. I’m here to help you plan so that your team is set up to protect data quality, build in flexibility, and keep research outcomes consistent, even when conditions are anything but.

Values first.

Every research goal is driven by purpose. FieldWild supports that mission with a focus on environmental responsibility, scientific integrity, and respect for local communities - helping deliver robust, ethical data while staying true to the values that matter most.

Consulting Services

Remote Field Operations & Logistics

With hands-on experience in kit sourcing, customs and shipping logistics, aerial survey planning, and basecamp setup in remote and tropical environments, I’m here to help your team get on the ground quickly and safely - fully prepared to succeed and deliver results.

Training & Capacity Building

With experience training researchers to use complex technologies, I offer tailored capacity-building programs that equip in-country teams with practical skills — from UAVs and sensors to hands-on data collection. Focused on sustainable knowledge transfer, local leadership, and field-ready tools, these programs support safe, effective, and lasting success in remote research.

Operations Management & Safety

Effective research begins with safety. With training in hostile environment awareness, remote trauma first aid, mental health, and safeguarding, I help ensure your team is prepared before entering unfamiliar terrain. Whether advising on risk assessments, operational protocols, or connecting you with trusted training providers, I offer grounded support to help you plan safer, smoother field campaigns.

You’re in the right place if…

  • You’re planning fieldwork in a remote or tropical region and need help navigating logistics, permits, or customs.

  • Your team is strong on research but needs support with operations, safety, or technology in the field.

  • You want to build in-country capacity with practical, locally relevant training — not one-size-fits-all solutions.

  • You’ve faced delays, data loss, or safety concerns before and want to avoid repeating those mistakes.

  • You’re introducing new tools (like drones or sensors) and need reliable, on-the-ground support to integrate them smoothly.

  • You want your project to run ethically, efficiently, and with respect for local knowledge and context.
