About FieldWild…
Hi! I’m Chloe Sutcliffe, the founder of FieldWild.
I have a deep passion for people, wild places, and the role of technology in protecting both.
Over the years, I've worked in some of the world’s most challenging environments, helping teams achieve novel and complex research goals – from tropical forests to mountain ranges and politically sensitive zones. Whether ensuring safer, more efficient fieldwork or driving impactful results, my experience spans studying human-wildlife conflict, conducting biodiversity surveys, and leading drone and helicopter missions for carbon mapping across Africa, South America, and Australia.
Before founding FieldWild, I served as Field Scientist and Lead Pilot at Sylvera, where I developed systems that eliminated drone incidents, mentored new field staff, and managed logistics for complex operations across multiple jurisdictions.
FieldWild was born from a desire to streamline complex field research – combining scientific precision with practical, on-the-ground solutions, and always prioritising the sustainability of both people and the planet.
